La Dolly Vita
No one ever talks about this song. The buildup at the end is awesome. I remember sitting down at my kit with headphones at like 13 and just going crazy jamming on it.

i always thought that outro kinda seems like an afterthought.
it's still cool cause jimmy rips it like a motherfucker but i think that songwriting wise there were probably better choices to end this song or make it more powerful |

This light, airy, ethereal counterpoint is what is missing from late era pumpkins and I attribute a good bit of it to d'arcy and especially James (who's solo stuff and songs like Blew Away and The Boy) are perfect examples of on their own

I used to listen to that reverb-drenched lead bit over and over and over and then play it on guitar because I thought it sounded so cool. The bit at the end sounds almost too loud and overwhelming when juxtaposed against the rest of the song.

I love all the little guitar tricks. Solid song, not flashy.

Ugh I have no idea what they did to the starla solo. It's like the doubled tracks, which are split in the original, are out of phase and stacked, then drenched in reverb.
