I'd love to be wrong but to me this reads as: She's not coming back, everything can't be the way it was, live in the present and move on. This whole paragraph was him confirming that no bass player's been decided on yet or they're not ready to say who is.

Bringing up James playing bass on Machina is also noteworthy as he's downplaying D'Arcy's importance for recording sessions.

What is there for Billy to gain with all this cryptic bullshit? He's just making it worse for when it's inevitably revealed that D'arcy is being replaced with a forgettable hired hand for the upcoming shows.

Billy put out a solo album which is inoffensive to forgettable depending who you ask. There was also a live recorded session and an arthouse film directed by Linda Strawberry.
New SP lineup is Billy, James, Jimmy and Jeff. D'Arcy seems to be out.
Recording sessions in progress, up to 26 tracks in the works. Rick Rubin producing.
Bill engages in alternative medicine, IV therapy and cupping sessions.
