Arrow Revisiting E 1999 Eternal

I don't remember what prompted me to revisit this, its been so long but goddamn what a record.

theres something contradicting about the smooth beats, harmonizing vocals and the violent lyrics that is kinda disturbing. i like it.

Wanna run red rum try to run and get away
But it's just to laaaate,
Watch out buckshots when I come buck buck
Betta guard that fuckin' face
Dumpin' them slugs on you fools
Rollin' wid me Trues, drinkin' brews,
Don't start no shit we come equipped
So niggas stay cool, one eighty seven,
You think that you going to heaven,
Put slugs all up in that chest dunn,
To hell is where you be dwellin'
Popping ah clip in them bodies me dumpin'
Watchin' you fall to the pave
Wid me nine milli pumpin'
Puttin' dem bodies all off in dem graves

Oh man I remember when this came out... I was jonesin' for more Bone since all that was out at that point was the Creepin On Ah Come Up EP. I went out and bought it the second it came out and it didn't leave my cd player for months. It was definitely their peak. They had already stagnated by the time they came out w/ that song on the Batman soundtrack. So disappointing.

yeah they've had a few good tunes since then but this was the last btnh album that was solid through out the listen.

thug luv feat. Tupac on "the art of war" fucking kicks

and the newish single "wind blow" is outstanding.

For Budsmokers Only was Bone's greatest work. (though not entirely official)

Ahh the memories... Too bad Eazy died before they really took off. They probably would have made excellent weed songs together.

Down 2 tha Last Roach is quite excellent.
