Mike Byrne sucks. Billy Corgans fucking cracked for allowing that kid in his band.

Fuzzy, we know. But you don't have to endure him currently - hiatus, no gigs, no recording. Can't you be happy about that? I am. Also Chamberlin is playing in a month!

Yeah, that's true. I was really hoping that Corgan would blow the band up and get some better musicians. It was extremely disappointing to hear that they're just on a 6 month break.

Wheres Jim playing at though?

Great call. My heart dropped a bit thinking that he was leaving, quickly realized he wasn't, then the Moody Blues was my 2nd thought.

My Dad LOVES the Moody Blues. Not quite as much as I love SP, but they're what got him into music in the same way that SP did me. As such, we often find ourselves talking about them, and I really can't help but draw some parallels between the two. For a while there, it was consistent output from the main dude (Hayward/Corgan) that made me compare the two, but sadly, it's moreso become a comparison in that neither band is going to get the proper recognition from their peers that they probably deserve.

Suppose the only glaring difference is that at least Hayward still has a FEW of the original dudes left, even if they are dropping like flies.

That, and the fact that Hayward hasn't let his physical appearance hit the can.

My parents loved them too.. and I grew up listening to mostly that album or A question of balance. My dad was also a big Yes fan lol so I like them too.

my x-men knowledge is spotty at best. i was never able to keep the titles and storylines straight, as they crossed over into so many other individual titles. i was a casual fan and really only remember "days of future past", "x-cutioners song", and whatever the main storyline with jean grey was. most of my marvel comics were hand-me-downs from an older cousin and i have more of those than current (at the time - mid 90s) issues.

whenever i visit home i always forget to dig them all out to see what i have and eventually price them.

I think I mentioned in another thread I just downloaded all of Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, Wolverine, and Swamp Thing.

There's just too much to approach it chronologically. Also re: X-Men aren't there several titles => Uncanny X-Men, Marvel Presents X-Men, and then just plain X-Men?

Take for instance The Punisher. I loved the Punisher: Max series by Garth Ennis. Loved it so much I tried to read Punisher from the beginning. Hated it.

Uncanny X-force is good. First comic I bothered reading since the 90's and has some heavy themes.
