That's fucking incredible. I started to get into SP and started to play drums in 2011. Since that time I've grown to revere JC as an incredible drummer, but not until today have I experienced a day where my favorite drummer was in my favorite band.

This is fucking awesome.

Fuck yeah.

Fuck yeah.

I had a feeling there might be someone who felt this way out there. How old are you?

Not really. There is just a tiny sliver of hope that they might tour near me again, and when they do, Chamberlin might be the drummer Corgan's working with.

Like, I'd still see them live if they were in my city and the price was right, I think. Probably wouldn't pay more than $80.

even if you weren't into them anymore, this is surely the most convincing reason to get back into at least the live side of things

i mean, my reaction upon seeing the news wasn't too far from ram's, honestly

Pretty shocking. Guess I gotta go to a show on this tour now.

I'm hoping this means there MIGHT be a chance Jimmy returns at some point in the future, beyond just this tour...

I think the fact that this thread hasn't even reached over 2 pages yet is pretty telling as far as general Pumpkins interest, even within Netphoria. Would have been 10+ easily even upwards of 3 years ago.

I don't think any "activity" on this board is telling for anything. it's dead, why would people who are going to get a ticket now to hear JC come here?

Just bought nosebleeds in Houston for $30. That's my level of skepticism talking. I'm cautiously optimistic.

I can't believe I bought tix to see them in 2015. Saw them in 2012 in Tulsa. It was fun, mostly because it was so intimate. Show was aight. I can't wait to see this, solely for JC being back and Corgan only playing the old stuff. I'm expecting some pretty heavy stuff to get broken out.

I know Manson sucks ass live now, but I did enjoy Pale Emperor (seriously, listen to it) so wtf we'll see how it goes.

That's fine. Tiberius, One and All and Monuments are good tracks produced horrendously with shitty drumming. They'll be bangers live.

Which is interesting, to me.

I'm not really a fan of the record at all, but with such a monster drummer back there, I'm intrigued to see what happens

Wonder what went down with the Robin Diaz guy. As stoked as I am to be seeing Chamberlin again (got tickets to Atlanta) I gotta wonder if this was a stunt to pull up ticket sales; I know they have been meager.

I am fine with it being a stunt, if that's what it is. I want to watch Jimmy Chamberlin play Pumpkins songs

And for all of Billy's faults, Jimmy makes his songs better.
