I could list all the folks who've jumped off the Obamabandawagon (my favorite probably being Cornel West followed closely by Jon Lovits : ), but forget it. no time, no point at this point. and the POint is the fix is in and I'm just wondering who's got the bigger fix, O or Mitt. I would guess the incumbent for obvious reasons but you just never know what these freaks agree upon at those bilderberg meetings.


I would love to see Obama pull a fast one on the Bushy clan and pull the rug out from under them but I don't know if he has that in him. Even if he does he's still greased the skids for a full matrix big brother takeover like the statist he's always been since forevers, if you believe what they say about his upbringing.


So...I dunno. as in, I'm still not sure there's even going to be an election this year. Small odds, maybe 5%, maybe a little more. But, say, Greece goes full monty with their default on the euro, that alone would double the odds on that 'no election' meter and would be static going forward depending on the domino effect such a default would cause.

If no one leaves in the next 4 years there will be three 80 year olds on the court. I suspect that one or two of the older moderates on the court might even use a Second Obama term as an opportunity to retire. I'm surprised Ginsburg is still there after her health issues.

Guys like Scalia and Kennedy don't look too healthy either. when people get to that age you never know how many healthy years they have left.


The fact that the court is a lifetime appointment is ridiculous. IMO each appointment should be for a defined period of time. Maybe 18 years, a long enough period of time to respect the intent of the Founders for a stable court. Keep the 9 Justice format and set the dates for expiration of their terms so that no more than 2 are appointed in any one presidential term. Maybe 2 appointments at the end of each presidential term.

If Romney wins, expect Ginsburg to retire before he's sworn in.

A closure of the banking system (Bank Holiday Month) will result in a huge drain on cash in the economy as cash machines would have stopped operating, therefore I suspect the Bank of England has already secretly prepared itself for this eventually by printing a huge quantity of actual bank notes by the container load, ready to ship out as soon as the crisis bites, which would be necessary to cover a closure of the banking system the effect of this would be highly inflationary, because printing actual bank notes is the same as that which happened during Weimar Germany sparking hyperinflation when people ended up buying loafs of bread with Wheel barrows full of worthless currency, inflation would go through the roof, forget 5% per year, we would be looking upwards of 5% per month!
