Street Fighting Man seems like it could go down well, tbh

Both seem more exciting to me than them tryna do Stairway every night, in any case
Pillow of Winds would be great. James on slide, Corgan/Katie Cole vox?

The other day I found myself musing on a much beloved musician, the kind everyone liked to like (I like them, too), but certainly their music is not respected per se as I'd hope I've gained some modicum of it from you. Anyway, I said to a friend, if I had it to do all over again I'd still choose the harder road in music and in public life. The road less traveled (a poem which always spoke to me, obv) versus one of back patting and slavish, numbing approval. Not everyone agrees with that inclination, and I can certainly respect why: life is short, and why be grim when you can party, or laugh, or yeah, be liked? I said many, many times when I was young (in my 20's) that I'd have preferred (and this was honest, btw) to belong, to not be some loner outcast archetype against the grunge cash grab. That if I'd been made to feel I belonged as a teenager there'd be no Billy the Vampire Bat, or Zero, and so on. So note: I DID WANT TO BELONG; it just didn't happen. But it's not in the Corgan or Maes bloodlines, anywho, to be-long. It's not who we are; confusing as that is to us. My son is the same way. He is just is a natural iconoclast. He doesn't try to be that way, he is that way. And the world, particularly now, needs it's windmill chasers and it's linguistic assassins and yes, it's ageing Goths. Long live the Goths. And God bless you who hath made this crazy dream possible. In you, you have made it immortal. And it will outlive us all, which is majestic. So thank YOU. As they say in Cali: you are rad. See you at those shows, SP and WPC, too. Lots of music, new memories, new memes. New stupidities. The true Gods will roar. And the little gods will cower behind their manicured beards and plastic weapons of mass destruction. Bite from the apple ye saints, the poison will do ye good... -WPC

Pretty dope set list. Cool to see Tiberius being played with Jim.

Anyone have a clip?

Didn't Billy confirm there's an Oceania track they were rehearsing for this tour? I wonder if this song made the cut and will pop up in a set list soon. He also made reference to the band rehearsing Bodies as well. I find it interesting Silvery was left out (I don't like the song but given it's overall 'warm' reception I thought it would be in every night).

I'm hoping the set lists will have some variety show to show. I'm pretty interested to hear Street Fighting Man

Stage setup looks great!

I was able to hear them at the rehearsals in Berlin (live nearby) from the outside. According to Jimmy, they only play Solara, KOM and Solara from the new LP, he told us. They practiced Bodies and Doomsday Clock (which sounded great and I don't like the song usually). All other songs that we've heard were in the setlist last night.

After seeing this setlist I'm actually really looking forward to Stockholm tonight. However, I fear a shorter show due to the fact it has a curfew. But if they'd toss out the covers and GLOW to satisfy this requirement, that would be OK for me. And Bodies would be nice instead of that boring Disarm or Tonite.

Can you record some of the non-hits pls? TAFH, Tiberius, Street Fighting Man, Spaniards, Superchrist if possible!

I've always liked GLOW. And Superchrist. Would be excited to see both of those songs.

Does the stage set remind anyone else of "Inside Out"?

In other news yesterday I picked up Ogilala on vinyl 2nd hand for €11.

I always record everything. But audio only. And it'll take a few days until I'll be able to upload it.

They're not having the giant puppets in Stockholm today because the stage is not big enough. Also there's a curfew at 10pm, so only a 2 hour shows. Here's me hoping they'll cut GLOW.

Stockholm soundcheck:
Zero
Solara
?

Couldn't make out the third song as the band was on IEMs only (no PA).

I hope they don't cut tonight's gig towards the end, because I'm counting on your recording of TAFH as I don't plan to record a second next week.

Thanks for taping, have fun, Sebastian!

yeah I think it's my favorite ever tour visual. it's like a weird sort of cartoonish, steampunk, nutcracker suite inside out type thing

______

thinking of going to either Mountain View CA or Wantagh NY. hope they change the set a decent bit for the US leg

if they're playing anything from Monuments, they could do MUCH worse than Tiber

however, not too hot on the choices from Shiny & O So Boll'd

Especially with Corgan's vocals now. It sounds sterile. "broadway style, show will be timed to minute"

According to Jimmy, Corgan's the one that always wanted to speed songs up live. They started starting songs off a click on the Manson tour per Jimmy's urging

I'm absolutely certain these stage puppets are a ripoff of another artist, and it's driving me crazy that I can't remember who

I was sure it was Rob Sato for a while but I can't find the exact sculptures I'm thinking of

Yeah, much rather Silvery, With Sympathy, Marchin On, probably even Seek & Destroy.

Alienation is one of the worst songs he's ever written I think.
