it depends on how many children you have. one or two is ok. that can happen. six is a no-no.

I had a look at the video for One Step Closer out of curiosity and I couldn't help but burst out laughing when the song kicks in and the vocalists and guitarist are all synchronised in this weird, bent over head bang motion thing.

"Everything you say to me takes me one step closer to the edge."
Shit. If only somebody had told the person the song is about, "SHUT UP WHEN YOU'RE TALKING TO CHESTER" right before the final word that sent him over the edge. |

If Chester was resurrected to read this thread he'd kill himself all over again.

I don't think that video was good even when it came out.

mind you, I was looking at this video the other night, feeling a bit cringed out by the bent over "just so into it" stance, doesn't go full retard until a minute or so in
I mentioned that to my husband this morning, whose high school band was called wait for it Greenwood and he mumbled something about needing to see his pedals in low light mmmm hmmmm so I don't think Bester Chennington & co had a monopoly on shitty performance stances, at least |

it was less the bending over that made me laugh but the bending over combined with the bobbing and the three of them doing it in a synchronised motion.

Is that the nu-metal equivalent to headbanging?

I first thought Vixnix's husband's band was called wait for it.
Greenwood is a cool name btw. Its like a tribute to Radiohead and Weed at the same time. |

You guys should see Takeshi head bang. It's pretty sublime. Kinda like I imagine Lord Vishnu headbangs when he rides Garuda above the firmament.
Wata head bobs. |

Nawh man, it was terrible from the get go. It was lame to me and my dumb friends even in our nu-metal 'glory'.
It was like Korn and Limp Bizkit were huge and then competing labels started coming out with 'their versions' with Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Saliva ETC... Just trying to get a piece of the pie. As bad as Korn and LB have aged, you can still hear the merit in it which made it appealing. But this narrative that Linkin Park is above those guys has always pissed me off cause it just isn't true. |

fuzzy, have you fallen off the wagon again? That coupled with your insensitive and ill-informed views expressed in this topic pair well with the Christopher Moltisanti avatar.
Like seriously, could you have picked a worse/more perfect Sopranos character to connect to right now? |

[/QUOTE This was actually the only LP song I ever liked, at least partially because of the video. And I will admit that Numb has always been a bit of a guilty pleasure. |

For what it's worth, always thought this was a pretty cool track (and hey, they even used it at the end of an episode of The Sopranos). No vocals from Chaz, though.
