You're definitely someone I would like to meet and have a conversation with. Not only that you're a musical inspiration to me and a few other millions of people who grew up listening to the Pumpkins, but you always point out that you could have done well even if you went for the political science studies

Also, it's great that you display your knowledge about the all-time greats like Humphrey Bogart, the younger generation (of which I'm a part of, actually) might just learn a thing or two. Saw you on CNN's talk show about Asia last summer and listened to some of your interviews, really informative stuff! I'd say you're up there with David Bowie and John Lennon when it comes to intellect in the world of rock music.

A fan of yours from Romania - hope I'll get to see you in concert in this lifetime!

You know how there are cheap non-fiction paperbacks of every rock and roll band ever?

you ever notice how there are none on smashing pumpkins?

What happened was someone asked sp twitter if they were following the real billy on FB. SP twitter said no and that the FB they were following was fake. A few days later he had a fan page. I doubt billy is hitting the post button himself. He probably sends emails to the social media person. He also needs a FB account to use that page. He could have reactivated his old one and hid it.

The Bogart book and films are good, though. I just don't see what he's getting out of posting on facebook.
Half a year without touring, maybe he's missing an audience. With facebook he can at least reach more than the 30 folks that fit in his teahouse.
It's not that calculated. It is just so he has an official FB page because there were imposters.

That was actually a cool read. I've been reading Jim Marrs books for a while. Not that I believe every word, but I'm addicted to conspiracy theories and alien stuff.

I watched some of his vids on youtube. Like you I am suspicious of a lot and somethings seem non factual as he claims. However, somethings I think have truth like ancient humans having knowledge that is forgotten and they were not as "primitive" as thought. Also, the asteroid belt being a smashed planet makes sense to me but I don't have enough scientific knowledge to fully agree. However, science is typically never absolute and we discover knew things that we might have thought we understood prior.

Lastly, I do believe that freedom is an illusion and we are all really slaves as well.

honestly marrs is actually fairly respectable as these guys go, in the way that he's not fucking mental like david icke or some of the dees.com community and most of his books are actually just journalism on conspiracies

his JFK book inspired the oliver stone movie and is consistently praised for being well researched and well written

he asks more questions of his audience than people like alex jones who tell you what to think

Yeah, I've listened to him on Coast to Coast AM for a few years now... he is thought provoking to say the least.

My biggest beef with Ancient Aliens is that no one on the show seems to want to believe that humans may have been very advanced and nearly destroyed the species. I think that would explain a hell of a lot. Hardly any of us would be able to construct a computer if the world went to shit or most of us died... but that wouldn't mean that aliens built Hoover Dam. I am of the belief that humans have been through at least two cycles of advancing technologically, then nearly wiping out all of us.

I agree. He definitely carries himself better than most of the conspiracy nutjobs. He actually is just a curious person that asks questions, then researches it. I like listening to him and reading what he puts out.

i could honestly see myself as a combo of snopes and this guy

some of the things that conspiracy theorists say are true, i've always thought that alex jones goes from real things to the most outlandish conjecture. the mainstream media is a total farce that trumpets what TPTB want -- that must mean obama has a radical socialization plan that will reduce us all to meatslaves to television!!!

any time someone says obama is a socialist or a fascist or worse, both, they basically lose

it's weird because he's got sponsorships on his suit like he's in nascar but it's all policy concepts or non existent or vastly oversimplified institutions instead of Blue Cross/Anthem, Monsanto and etc

dickheads

I don't think there is much evidence of that. There is evidence like the bagdad battery and the astrological charts that proved they were very advanced and might know more about somethings we don't.
