Bands/Artists you are simultaneously attracted to and repulsed by

For me, Devin Townsend (Devin Townsend Project, Strapping Young Lad, etc)

There are things appealing about his artistic approach, and the energy of his fan base is amazing... but there are also elements that are just cringe-inducing. I've been on the fence with this guy for like a year now.

Anyone have a similar situation with other bands/artists?

On paper it should be one of my fave bands

On the speakers its either 1) makin me sleepy or 2) geddy lee’s bleating delivery disqualifies it
