Left-wingers and Liberals want to boycott Whole Foods
Apparently the anti-right propaganda is becoming such a source of vitriol that even level-headed ideas contrary to those presented by the current Presidential administration are being passed off as worthless, and leading them to boycott such businesses as Whole Foods. The CEO of Whole Foods offered up a very reasonable alternative to the current bill or bills being presented. it was met with open hostility and resentment by those who declare that the Obama administration can do no wrong.

john mackey has the right to his opinion but putting whole foods and obamacare in the same sentence was a poor decision given his clientele. he's also anti-union so the fact that he is turning left-wingers off to his company is unsurprising. and additionally i think you would find that the people who would participate in a boycott like this think that Obama administration is doing a whole lot wrong, especially fumbling around with Baucus/Conrad/Grassley on health care, so in summary you know absolutely nothing. |

And rofl @ the costs being passed on to us. Yeah, I mean you could say that every time GM gets sued for making a car that explodes the consumer has to pay for it, but by that logic the consumer has to pay for EVERY SINGLE ECONOMIC VARIABLE IMAGINABLE. This is just an excuse for less responsibility. So retarded. |

I've stopped shopping at WF. There's a whole bunch of reasons, the health care thing was really just the last straw of many.
There are gaping holes in his opinion piece but the hypocrisy bothers me even more, given that WF is run by corporate welfare queens who've never seen a tax break of subsidy they haven't lapped up with wild abandon, "socialism" or not. I have no doubt that shopping there is still marginally more responsible than shopping at the typical big-box grocery store but 90% of it is smoke and mirrors at this point. They're selling voodoo and perception and branding. I've been consistently going less and less lately but this was just the nudge I needed to stop completely. |

I'm probably going to shop there more. i love that the whackos want to boycott a store because the owner proposes an alternate means to fix healthcare considering the current proposal has a 0% chance of passing

well boycotting whole foods IS stupid but compared to the current town hall protesters and the birthers on the right I feel a whole lot less embarrassed to be a liberal.
though i'm with ravenguy2000. i've always hated whole foods image/brand. |
