By the end of 2019 I will listen to and review a post-reunion release I haven't heard
Because ffs it really seems like I chose the worst time to tune out of Pumpkins activity and I feel like I'm missing out on some potentially better-than-average-quality music.
I have already subjected myself to the following: Zeitgeist American Gothic If All Goes Wrong Tinted Windows Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vols 1 2 and 3 Oceania Monuments to an Elegy I'd like to give Zeitgeist a revisit and review as well, before I review a more recent album, to mentally and emotionally prepare myself for this task. Especially if fucking Siddartha wins the poll. Quote:

picked Shiny because, why not, you've already heard the other SP albums and it's like 20 minutes - also chose Parable & Night Dreamer EP since they're legit enjoyable listens and probably the best "sp-adjacent" output i've heard in the past 5 years

Cotillions and Look to the Sky are probably the best/most listenable. New SP isn't really SP and doesn't feel right

I need an elaborate and in-depth review of Siddhartha. To show that you're serious, type at least 1 page per 5 minutes music, font times new roman, max size 12

If you're serious about revisiting Zeitgeist I'd go right to Oceania or Ogilala.

the main thing you're missing out on is the solid tours, tbh
only album from the list above i'd actually choose to listen to outside of any previous "hardcore fan" feeling of obligation is The Parable, and even then that's mostly for the sweet, sweet sound of Jim's drums |

I didn’t know there was an Oceania live album. Is it as exciting as it sounds?

The Oceania live album was pretty bad. His voice sounded terrible on it.

So far, Siddhartha and Shiny And Oh So Bright — Vol. 1 / LP — No Past. No Future. No Sun. are leading the polls with 8 votes each.
They only have a single voter in common. This has potential to get tribal. Last edited by Shallowed : 12-04-2019 at 06:27 PM. |
