late night soaring in the arms of shrooms
thoughts turn to my ex and her vacant womb time saunters by—my feelings grew five years of seed in my cellar for you remembering all of the times that we squashed fertile socks furtively tossed in the wash stoplight jolts from green to red seatbelt digs into penis head street sign says 50 miles to her road but how long till i blow my load? finger on her doorbell love on my mind quivering shivering anal this time? |

so I had a really fun weekend at my ex's. there was no sex or flirting. I met her dog, we went hiking, we went to an orchard and a wine tasting, smoked weed, ate peruvian chicken, and played a lot of guitar together. It felt very healing, actually

That's great! I think it's nice when people who aren't seeing each other anymore can still maintain a friendship.

Recently had a second date with this girl. It feels like a long time since I've had a second date.
It's weird, she seems to like me a lot. Texts me, and if I don't get around to responding, she'll text me some more. And then she'll apologize for taking a long time to text. I still never know how to be comfortable on dates, so I'll spend a while wracking my brain, trying to figure out what to say next. But then… she keeps on talking. She talks a lot. It actually puts me at ease, because I don't have to think of anything to say. It's nice to just listen and not have to do anything. Not have to be "on," and not have to impress. But at the same time, not knowing why she likes me, and not really feeling like I'm expressing myself all that much, I can't help but wonder—what if she doesn't actually know me, and only thinks she likes me, because she actually just created some impression of me in her head? |

I like communicating through text as pauses to contemplate what you want to say are not awkward silences I'm having to learn how to have an extended irl conversation with another person at 24 as ridiculous as it is |

This is my fear. It seems like people reach an age where they aren't looking to make new friends our branch out.
Like, that 52-year-old who works at the office, is paying off his mortgage, has a wife and kids, gets drinks with his old buddies and has block parties with the neighbours… he's probably going to find it weird if you're some rando who met him somewhere and asks to keep in touch so you can hang out later. "Is he coming on to me? I'm married." What do you do if you haven't found your group before then? |

Hahaha
I've gotta admit, but of what's bothering me is that I'm not yet at the point where I know how much I like her, and I'm still waiting for things to develop to see how much of a spark I feel. But she seems to really like me. She just now sent me a text saying that she spent the next day thinking a lot about that last night we spent together. At first, I thought it was going to be something along the lines of "looking back, I am kinda uncomfortable with it," but she actually said "it was so good." And part of why I feel kinda weird is that I'm thinking about this previous girl (whom I've talked about before) who I really liked, but who broke things off, because she "didn't feel the chemistry." Sometimes, no chemistry exists and there's nothing you can do about it. But with that girl, I really feel like we were compatible and that we were great for each other, and that the reason she couldn't feel the chemistry is that I was so awkward that I didn't know what to do or say, despite really liking her, and it probably created the impression in her head that "if we're awkward and not talking when we're together, it must mean we don't have chemistry." I just feel like if I acted differently, just did the right things, just spoke without editing myself and thinking about what to say, and just took her and kissed her at several key opportunities that I passed up, we would have been together. And with this new person liking me, I feel like "if only I did the proper things so that this previous girl liked me in the same way and was texting me the same things." Like, it's not like I think I can control other people's attraction to me, or that it's always dependent on my actions. For the vast majority of women who have rejected me, even the one other girl I really liked, I think sure, they probably just weren't that into me. But the specific girl I'm thinking about, I feel there was evidence otherwise. And it makes me feel awful that I'm thinking about her when this new girl is being so good to me and paying me so much attention. |

When I first get a number, about half the time, I will call instead of text to set up the first date. It will still be a 30-second phonecall though.
Most of the time, the response is kinda taken aback, but half of those times, it will be an appreciative and impressed surprise, and the other half of the time, I get that "wow, this creep is actually calling me instead of just texting me like a normal person?" tone in their voice. But if I get the latter, she probably wouldn't have gone out on a date with me anyway, so I don't care. |
