Any Immortal Technique enthusiasts?
This is what underground hip hop should sound like

Or, you know, we could just post examples of political raps, by Technique or anyone.
This was when Ice Cube was all angry, political and provocative. Shame he fell off so hard. |

Public Enemy were likely the most famously political hip hop artist/group, but I could never get into them.
This thread has been an unmitigated disaster, really. I'll shoulder all the blame. Last edited by Elijah Moon : 10-30-2014 at 07:21 AM. |

This is a bit outdated now in many senses, but back in the age of Dubya I thought it was brilliant, especially the second verse. My favourite line was, "M-16 locked, loaded and spitting properly / Whoever's in that line of fire: chestful of democracy!" I thought that was a really powerful line.
edit - I need to stop posting songs when no one else is joining in; I'm fast turning into fuzzy. Last edited by Elijah Moon : 10-30-2014 at 11:23 AM. |
