I think GnR was the big catalyst though. I really do... If GnR didn't have the success they did on that tour, no way in hell Live Nation funds this tour.

I wonder if they really will add a 2nd Chicago show. Shocked they sold that many tickets in Chicago on day 1.

I kind of actually want Billy to succeed with this tour, because I know it's important to him. He's 50 with a little boy, It'd be nice to see the old bozo get a little glory again.

If sales remain slow in the venues they can definitely fill up they should cut prices, and in the slower markets move to theaters. Or they could call D'arcy.

So let me get this straight, they're not even having a pit area? it's just seats all along the floor?

Me too, I think the genre/90's alternative really needs it. I also think Billy/James/Jimmy could stay together for the long haul if it does well enough. I just hope if certain markets don't do well/they have to downgrade there aren't any bad vibes. They should be thrilled that they're likely going to pack arenas in some major cities like New York, Chicago, and LA (while the shows aren't sold out right now I think they'll sell out these three shows).

This did disappoint me a bit. I saw Soundgarden's 2011 reunion show at the Forum, and I was in the pit on the floor and Dave Grohl was right behind me. That ain't happening in August, lol.

I know it looks bad because really popular bands will sellout on day 1 at almost all arenas. But you have to put it into perspective. I have read that statistically, around 50% of mid range price concert tickets are sold in the 1st MONTH upon going on sale. Not saying that place is going to sell out or probably even come close. But if say 2K tickets were sold on day 1, you can probably assume that 5K will sell in the first month and 10K overall.

Yeah man, I think the shows will be a success. Even if they don't sell out, I think they'll do pretty well with the merchandising and everything.

I'm not sure he would be down with downsizing though. Maybe you might have heard something, but for the Oceania tour in Vancouver the sales were dismal. Apparently the idea of downgrading wasn't acceptable to Corgan or some shit. But this was only a blurb I heard on the radio... No news sites seemed to cover this. The Vancouver date was the only date on the tour that would be canceled.

Oh so it is all seating? That fucking sucks man... Even GnR had a designated pit area.

I guess that's the norm for some of these legend acts now eh? I saw RHCP I guess 4 or 5 years ago now and was dumbstruck to see all seats with no pit when I walked in. I said "man, this is the fucking Chili Peppers, they have all seats on the floor? Anthony Keidis would have punched someone in the balls if they ever told him that one day the Chili Peppers would play shows in arenas like that."

What can you do I guess...

That's why I like bands like Green Day and Weezer, when they play arenas and you buy a floor ticket, it's every man for himself.. Fucking Corgan

Snagged tickets for the KC show, 9th row... anyone else going?

Hoping we get some deeper cuts than the hits BC/JC played on tour with Manson.

Also they should have called this the “pretty much every other 90s lead singer is dead tour” to capitalize on maximum nostalgia

Billy should do an interview with Buttcannon. That would get headlines.

I lied about Minneapolis earlier. Shit ton of floor seats available. Front row even for $545 each.

When you weren’t pulling arena tours on your way out, why would you expect to pull them on your way back after 15 years of not being relevant to the market or reaching the consumer?

I mean... Blink 182 did it I guess - they weren’t pulling arenas when they disbanded, yet the reunion made them festival headliners and sold out an arena tour.

Billy should’ve just gone smaller. Or done a build up to this. A long tour of huge venues. Sheesh.

Last time I saw him play a half empty arena in 2000, he refused to do an encore.

Also: Would appreciate Bill throwing Chrysanthemum on the setlist. Hardcore fans sorted.

Quiet is an underplayed SP song.

Overpriced shirts for A Perfect Circle were an eye opener for me. It's like, I wasn't going to buy one in the first place, but when shirts cost more than tickets...get out of my area.

Billy is clearly in control, as he has his hand on its leg. Other legs connect to the heads of Jimmy and Jeff...but not James.

Better now than 2007. It was the last song, then brought back first show back almost like nothing happened.
