Wait, what?! So you like those two but not Want, Trap, Bare...?
Round is probably the only song from WMS I'll skip.

I feel like it actually one-up's even the best track off either album, in sheer emotional intensity and just being fucking on point

it is, to me, the absolute best Cure song

and what an irony, it's on their worst album!

Best. Band. Ever. All the Disintegration B-sides, outtakes, then the whole album, Burn, TIB, and Pirate Ships.

Fuck me what a show

Casual fan comment but that "Burn" is amazing.

You do understand that you are saying that a little known track off of their worst album is better than all of the tracks on their best album, don't you? You do understand how fucking hard that is to swallow , don't you?

It's the Cure

Otherwise known has a band with B-sides which regularly rival or surpass a good chunk of album material at times. So one track off an otherwise blah album being better than lotsa other stuff seems plausible to me

SP fans of all people should appreciate the delicate imbalance

And though I may disagree with it being better than all of Disintegration I'd say Want is right up there as one of their absolute best

ye i dunno i just think it's their best song

my favorite, and also probably the first i'd show someone who wanted to know about The Cure, along with like Fascination Street & a perhaps "grab-bag" 3rd

BTW, revisiting Brotherhood, I would move it up my rankings a bit, but not by much.

it's good shit

i will say, i got into that album after all the others for some reason. i believe it was the only pre-Lost Sirens album of theirs I hadn't heard when originally getting into the band, so when I finally listened years later, I had much more positive associations since it was fresh to me and being introduced during a better time in my life than high school (which is pretty much when i'd heard everything else)

even so, taking all that out i still think i'd rank it at least in the top 3

man, what? lol

it's not their best ever or anything, but considering it was simply outtakes from what a lot of people considered one of their weakest records i thought it was pretty damn good

Music Complete, on the other hand, has some good songs but overall is pretty sterile imo
