Next time someone asks me where my accent is from I'm telling them it's an Archenlander dialect of southern Narnia.

Sixties radicals began the redefinition of academic work from a search for truth according to professional norms, to a political activism that in the name of “relevance” and “social justice” shaped research and teaching to confirm leftist ideology and discredit whatever alternatives students might believe. These new academic departments and programs like Women’s Studies and Ethnic Studies, Horowitz writes, “maintained no pretense of including intellectually diverse viewpoint or pursuing academic inquiries unconnected to the conclusions they might reach.”

i reject the very idea of a 'libertarian' axis. There is no libertarian axis.

LIbertarianism is bullshit. It's a relatively recent attempt by certain conservatives to appropriate fundamental liberal democratic enightenment principles and redefine them to support their own anti democratic, anti enlightenment world view.

American Thinker is a daily internet publication devoted to the thoughtful exploration of issues of importance to Americans. Contributors are accomplished in fields beyond journalism and animated to write for the general public out of concern for the complex and morally significant questions on the national agenda.

There is no limit to the topics appearing on American Thinker. National security in all its dimensions -- strategic, economic, diplomatic, and military -- is emphasized. The right to exist and the survival of the State of Israel are of great importance to us. Business, science, technology, medicine, management, and economics in their practical and ethical dimensions are also emphasized, as is the state of American culture.

Think for yourself.
Question authority.

Repeat catchy phrases you think sound cool.

Trying real hard to sound offensive isn't really classified as 'thinking'.

Eh, there's such thing as a libertarian left, so I think it's a useful axis orthogonal to the left/right spectrum.

Like, anarchists/libertarian socialists vs. Bolsheviks.

A lot of right-winger who call themselves "libertarians" really are just embarrassed conservatives when you actually interrogate their views, but there is still a difference between legit right-wing libertarians and traditional conservatives.

I think both are dumb, but I have more respect for the libertarians than conservatives, because they at least actually mean they want the government out of their ass when they say they do, and don't go "but they should still forbid adults from marrying and make sure only people I like can enter the borders." And some of them seem to genuinely believe that the market is beneficial for everyone and free markets will make everyone better off, rather than just hating poor people like conservatives do.

A lot of them still do just hate poor people, tho.

Hello!

I would like to apologize for the clear lack of effort on my part in maintaining this project, fixing bugs, and adding new features. It was not right of me to simply drop it with no explanation, and I think I should pass it on to new developers. I've mostly moved on to other things (like college!) and I neither have the time nor the interest to continue forwards with 8values on my own. I would be willing to pass it on to another group if it was clear they were able to maintain it with the spirit of the original project. I won't be abandoning it completely, and I'll still hang around to make sure everything's going well and to help out where I can.
yes, "fixing bugs", like a logical thought process..

There's def a difference between the authoritarian left and the libertarian left

The former is likely to pass something dumb like a Soda Tax in an effort to socially engineer behavior

The latter just views concentration of capitol as the ultimate authoritarianism

Quiz felt a bit biased though I might say, the evil sounding options were all right-leaning.

Oh, wait...

Literally centralized government.

The ultimate authoritarianism.
