Post Reunion Setlist

I hope Billy gets the reunion setlist right:

Almost entirely from Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie.
Nothing from Gish except Rhinoceros and Daydream (sung by Darcy).
Drown
Nothing from Pisces except Starla and Landslide.
Nothing from Aeroplane except Dreaming.
Nothing from Adore except Pug.
Nothing from Machina except Stand Inside Your Love.
Nothing from Machina II except Go.
Nothing post-2000.

I want tem to play:

2 bars of hi-hat quarter notes
The next three bars will be a single guitar doing two beats of a G5 chord and 2 beats of an A5 chord, except in a shuffle rhythm
Then that continues for another five bars, but now a D on the seventh fret of the G string plays a doted quarter note, followed by a quaver rest, and then a half-note open high E, over top the rhythm
Then begins a walking C-Lydian bassline
At this point, the audience starts clapping to the beat. Actually, I want them to clap on the off-beats.
The rhythm starts strumming a half-bar of E-min7 and a half-bar of Amin7, while the lead kicks on the phaser and plays the chords arpeggiated. The bassline plays four quarter-notes of of G on the third fret of the E string, and four quarter notes of C on the third fret of the A string. I'll leave it to Corgan how many bars this goes on for because I'd like to see where he takes it.
But after that, he plays a mean solo in B Phrygian while James plays D-maj7/B-min/E-min, playing the first chord for two bars, and the next two chords for half a bar each. D'arcy plays the base notes, and Jimmy starts doing blast-beats.

After the song, Billy does some stage banter and makes a joke about the Chicago Bulls. James puts his hand on his cheek and chuckles because the joke is funny. An audience member yells "GO BULLS!" and Billy says, "yeah, you know it!"

I'll be pretty upset if they don't play this. I mean, it would be my favourite song.

What kind of tea will be sold at the concession.
If James will play the heel or the face.
If Corgan will tell the audience to knock out any Maoist SJWs and have them carried out on a stretcher.
If D'arcy's face will melt beneath the stage lights.
How many lawsuits will be filed and what portion of those will be settled out-of-court during the intermission.
How much Corgan will weigh.
If Corgan will even finish the show before getting sidetracked by another side project.

There is so much interesting stuff to talk about with modern SP.

I think we all want to see Jimmy on acoustic guitar while Mike is brought back for a bitching Oceania reunion. Really couldn't get enough the first time.

if billy corgan did not to take himself so fucking seriously it could happen

it would be awesome and funny to see the original band come to onstage and suddenly launch into SLTS and kill it

but agains billy takes himself so seriously these days he has no sense of humor or loight heartedness

Can you imagine Billy singing with dropped consonants on Smells Like Teen Spirit or In Bloom? Would be the most horrible, most hilarious performance of his career.

i don't want anyone to die or anything, but i'm pretty sure the only way to tarnish the SP legacy any further, is to reunite the original lineup...

at least with SP 2.0+ you could pretend it was another band, or another incarnation of the band, but this...

If it has to be from Nevermind, I'd prefer them to launch into Breed (with Billy dedicating the song to Airplane Mode).

Billy would then stage a wedding between young Auggie Jupe and Frances Bean to create the alt-rock Antichrist, but would then have to wait 15 years for the young lad to reach puberty. At that point, Frances would be around 40 and the pregnancy would be a little bit more dicey.

Somehow Manson is involved, too. I dunno

Audiences hated the 2008 setlists. Audiences are indifferent or worse about songs from Adore and Machina live. This is a reunion tour. Audiences want to see the version of the band that existed from 1993 to 1996. Sadly, Billy is probably not willing or able to give that to them in 2017.
