I've bought 3xLP sets for $30, so this will probably run around $400

If I remember correctly, the AEGEA record was reasonably priced, but that was just the records. The fact that Corgan decided to throw all this excess stuff into the package shows he plans on gauging any fan who will buy it.

The price is so ridiculous. Europeans would pay over 500 including shipping and taxes!

Man. That is EXPENSIVE. Very curious to see if this sells out. And naturally, you'd be looking at throwing in some looseleaf tea to try and win that little record player because one of a kind, etc - so with shipping, you're a few good steps above $400.

I think in 2016, you could probably rank the last few bastions of die-hard Pumpkins fans that would buy something like this. There really aren't THAT many places for SP fans to hang out and obsess over minutia anymore. Three or four (pretty quiet) Facebook pages, the Reddit, and this hive of scum and villany.

Let's be real here, gang - is anybody going to buy this?

This is a shame-free zone, I get it: I bought Agaea, remember?

I wanted to buy this, not because of the music ... I wanted it as a collectible, but 506,50 € (538$) including shipping and import taxes is so overpriced - Im out. If I would pay that amount of money (and I could afford it), I would feel ripped off. By they way: many other people will think that way. The box is online for an hour and they sold just 70 copies. The first Aegea pressing was sold out within 5-10 minutes.

yeah, this just screams of overt consumerism. i'm an avid collector, but i will be passing on this one. this is not what christmas is about for me anymore, and i have to admit, it was in the past.

i simply don't want it. i don't want the "music" on it, i don't want the hat, i don't want the toy synth (whatever that is), i don't want any tea. i don't want BC's autograph.

i do want $375 to stay in my pocket though. the raffle is a very smart idea, so good luck to all who are playing. maybe i'll pick this up on eBay in 10 years for $50 or something.

why, how much does it cost to manufacture the boxes and press the eight records for a run of 500?

So this means the Metro show is going to be released as a six vinyl, 10 CD set for $2500, doesn't it?

Seems like Billy is trying to do something like what The Residents do, take old stuff and repackage it for a small but devoted rich fanbase.

The Residents at least put some work into the stuff they put out though.

For that kind of $$ I'd expect to be able to at least see the quality of the artwork and examples of the liner notes etc. Maybe have a mini-site with an example of the audio quality and an artist's statement from Boz.

No one is buying this to listen to it. Even if this was a slightly competent performance, who is every going to think hey I really feeling listing to Bobo Fidel with synths for 4 hours and get up and flip the records 10 times.

Also since it wasn't planned to be a vinyl set you are going to have music that is not matched to the format what so ever. It's like taking a concert and instead of breaking it up into tracks you just chopped it off every 27 minutes.

Out of the 70 people who bought this so far I doubt more than 10 of them even own a turntable.

Pfft... I wouldn't download this for free let alone pay $375 (+ international shipping)

Also, is this still a part of the Teargarden by kaleidoscope album within an album routine? If so Siddhartha should be about track 34, So we're getting there to that magic 44 number at least!!1!1

It was only 4 years ago I was losing my mind over how awesome the Mellon Collie boxset was, now this...
