Johnny DeMarco has been my personal favourite "that weird guitar guy" for a while. Check out his Boss demos.

There was once that time I decided to revisit nostalgic buttrock. "Wherever You Will Go," "And They Say that a HEEGHROUGH WILL SAVE US," "My Sacrifice," so shitty but actually catchy as fuck.

Also there was this one time that I checked out shitty scene shit and myspace-core stuff I listened to in middle school, like My Chemical Romance. Some of it is still kinda listenable.

My cat just died. I found her dead and buried her yesterday.

Anyway, this is a good guitar video:

I made pork buns this weekend, this has become my favorite dish to prepare and eat. Even if it takes a bit of work (I prepare the filling and dough the night before I actually cook them), but it's so delicious it's worth it.

These porks buns are pretty popular here. From Ippudo. For my son's 10th birthday we took him and some friends there after bowling and laser tag and they ordered and ate about 50 of these...so I'm glad I didn't have to make them lol

They're Osaka style 肉まん (nikuman), not sure if they are at all different from the chinese counterparts, but that's the recipe I followed.

Oh wow, those look amazing!
But yeah, cooking in those quantities is a whole lot of work. I cook mainly for me and my mom (sometimes my sister) so it's just 45min.~75min. of steaming all the batches (3 at a time, I don't have a big steamer)

Yeah, I'd only had her for one year. I'm not sure what killed her. There was no blood or anything. I think it could be a snake. She killed everything she found, including snakes, so I guess she went after the wrong one.

lari - the chinese ones are considerably different looking, with the twirl pinch thing.

i'm deeply repulsed by the idea of semi raw steamed pork meat, so uh, yeah no.
i do eat plenty of 财宝, which is basically the same but with spinach, mushrooms and other veggies. not really what i'd call comfort food, but it costs like a nickel here and it's a good way to put off hunger a few more hours

Ah yeah, there are a ton of techniques to twirl the top and make them look good. I'm not good at making that yet, though. It takes some practice.

Yeah about the raw meat. I cook the meat beforehand so it's evenly cooked when it's done. You can also use pretty much any filling you want, there is a red fruits variation that I would very much like to try.

When did bao become something more than a basic lazy meal?

Next, we'll hear of hours-long ordeals in the kitchen to produce a couple of bánh mě.

Whoever thought of that name first is a champion.

It's almost as good as my bacon-themed restaurant named The Bac'ery.

the only way you could make that name more confusing is to put it in an overly ornate font

28if, for many years, believed Chick-fil-A to be called "Chick-lila"

would your friend prefer his mailbomb in an unmarked package or with a menacing note?
