That really does describe it perfectly. He seems to be going for a "freak show" vibe along the lines of the music videos for "Ava Adore" or "Stand Inside Your Love." Not that anything about those videos could be called subtle, but they had an artistic edge to them completely lacking in this video.

I figured, with a budget behind them, this video would at least look professional, but it has that same amateur quality that was present in "G.L.O.W." and "Superchrist." Sadly, the "Being Beige" and "Drum + Fife" music videos are the best we have post reunion.
