Target has a "snack bar" which is the saddest food establishment you will encounter in the States

alternatively Walmart's will often come with a McD or Burger King

We only went to dunkin donuts so far that had food that tasted like plastic.

McDildo or BK we got at home and i'm a vegetarian so not much point in attending those establishments

Lost my phone yesterday.

What's better is that I lost it on the one day that I had it die on me. It's rare that I let my phone die, because I'm pretty good about charging it.

Perfect timing, because it means I can't just call my phone or use those "find my phone" apps.

It's not even top-dollar, though. I just get the lower-end smart phones, the ones that are zero dollars with the plan.

These days, all smart phones seems similar enough that I don't see the point of shelling out more money for the top-of-the-line ones. When they all let you make phone calls and access the internet, I don't see what makes certain ones worth the extra couple hundred dollars. "Oh, this one has a few more pixels per inch, even though virtually all phones have high enough resolution that any further improvements will be imperceptible to the human eye. Gotta get it!"

Anyway, it turns out my phone was found by the public transit people earlier today and is at the lost property place. Although I was just fucking there not two hours ago (which was still after I was sent the email saying they found it, which I wouldn't see until I got home to log onto my PC because, duh, no phone), and the lady there said they had nothing matching my description. OBVIOUSLY YOU DID IF IT WAS ALREADY AT ThE FACILITY AND PROCESSED AND AN EMAIL WAS ALREADY SENT OUT. Good thing the place is closed all weekend so that I have to wait until Monday to pick it up. Thanks, public transit lady!

Yeah phones have felt really stagnated for a while now, when I had to get a new one last year (my 5 year old phone finally died) the new one I got was only slightly faster and the screen was a little nicer, but didn't feel a revelation getting it.

i try to get the best low end phone, generally around $150, whenever my current phone is having serious issues. my current phone is 2 years old and is mostly fine (got a free battery replacement during warranty)... about once a week it drains really fast (like in 2 hours), but usually it's fine. dunno what the deal is, something must trigger it but i don't know what it is. but i can deal with it

spending $300 for a phone is crazy and how some people spend $800 for a phone is mind blowing

people irl have a lot more thoughts about my flip-phone than i do. i paid $20 for it and i've had it for close to 6 years, i think. my charge lasts near a week.

the ringer volume button is broken (rubber piece came off and now nothing to press into reactive part) but my index nail (it's a short nail) works for it just fine.
