oh they're an easy target to make fun of and i always thought they were mediocre and a bit irritatingly fey.

but as i exhaust my main genres i gave them a listen a couple months ago for the first time in a few years and liked them more than i used to.

there's plenty of things i wrote off a few years+ ago that i'm listening to again that even if it isn't all amazing at least it's something i haven't heard a hundred times.

i can't even tell you how much i am looking fowards to the mayyors next release

i talked to woodhouse at sxsw and he said they have it recorded already but not pressed yet. the new material they played was good live.

yeah probably not unless it's a 20 minute one but i'm okay with just a 12"

they had about 5 songs that weren't released when i saw them so hopefully that means 12"

they were intense live and probably the best band i saw at sxsw

the singer handed out beers out of a warm 24-pack before they started playing and as soon as they started playing beer was flying everywhere

hey, rp, what are some post-rock bands i'd like (besides the obvious).

i wade through a fair share of it, but most of it just seems so boring; "ambient" they call it. i like a healthy serving of drums with my post-rock.
