Question The Power of Live Nation?

Is Live Nation powerful enough to fill arenas for the Nostalgipumpkins?

That's the story of the tour.

I hope so.

Is Live Nation powerful enough to sue Corgan for the bad ticket sales, by his behaviour against former band members and the resulting bad publicity that may cause a decline in the interest of concert goers?

future train wreck potential should live nation force billy to do a bunch of promotion. the press tour could be something else.

either that or Live Nation will ensure he only speaks to friendly outlets like ManCow. As unseemly as it is. Alex Jones perhaps? how would live nation view that...

they've been going at it strong with the billboards on times square and all, but I doubt it. it was definitely possible if it weren't for this whole media backlash with d'arcy. now I think there's not a chance they can fill up an arena.

You guys are crazy if you think the Darcy shit will have any impact at all. No one gives a shit about her rants at all other than the 1% of the 1% of SP fans.

No one will remember her ranting on a random guys blog 5 months before the tour starts.

i think they didn't have a shot at filling an arena regardless of the d'arcy drama. but i will happily (?) eat my words.

The D'Arcy story was good for ticket sales. Many casual Pumpkins fans, those who just enjoy the music and don't know or give two shits about the band story, now know that a tour is happening. They will probably be re-engaging with the music. I would love to see the Smashing Pumpkins Spotify stats during the D'Arcy newscycle. I bet they soared.

There's no presale for fans or followers of Live Nation so it looks like it will come down to ticket brokers buying up most of them. If sales don't go well it might be best to go to Stub Hub day of

So is that it then? No pre-sale?

The power of Live Nation is a curious thing. Make a one man weep, make another man sing. Change a hawk to a little white dove. More than a feeling, that's the power of Live Nation.
