it's an electric pressure cooker. it has other features but i hardly ever use it for anything but pressure cooking. great for cooking dry beans when you don't want to take the time to soak them.

Now here’s the tip I was looking for. I’m gonna try cooking dry beans for the first time this week. Good to know there’s a shortcut I can save up for

every dish i've made with beans has been better when i've started with dry beans instead of canned. especially cuban black beans.
