Thumbs down

Jesus christ. First these companies piss themselves over song downloading, and now they're staking out lyrics and guitar tablature.

What reinforces my perception of their actions as being petty is that I do not think that their concerns have much foundation in reality. If this tablature is being generated by fans or even anyone else (generally, other guitar enthusiasts) other than the writers of the tablature books themselves, their interpretation of the music will most likely be slightly to very different from published versions anyway. As long as they aren't making money off of their hobby, I do not think it reflects upon these publishing companies well to attack such practices. Plus, I know that I am always interested in having a book with "official" interpretations of the songs and bits of information that may not be in the amateur tablature.
