agree.

*appreciates*

the upbeat, summery live version from the adore tour was pretty unexpected for me, but i like that as well

http://www.spfc.org/tours/song.html?song_id=169&schk=1

Apparently the only time they ever played this on the Mellon Collie tour itself was one time in Japan as an opener. The only recording, which isn't downloadable anyway, is missing it

interesting

Reading this thread makes me realise that despite all of my shitposting I probably have more in common with people here than I do with anyone in my real life, and that's why I'm here.

I don't know a single person IRL who bothered to listen to stumbleine, let alone rates it as one of BC/SP's finest.

I agree about 33. I didn't like the production on the album version which stopped me from appreciating it at first. That twang. But the 33 single is probably my favourite from TAFH so I ended up listening to it a lot and it grew on me.

Always thought that this was a reference to 'traditional values' and Sally's destiny was to have children.

As a 15 year old I loved the 'jukebox fuckup' line. Dusty summer days etc...

It must depend on life experiences because I thought of horse riding. But I had heard stirrups in that context far more than in the gynaecological one, the first time I listened to it.

Not to interrupt the topic (a good stumbleine thread feels like holy ground)

But IuD's are gnarly, yeah. I hope you get to the dr soon, and ask about alternatives, especially if you are getting ut infections more than normal

btw Ladies are so friekin patient/brave to do all this awful work of birth control, we should recognize this more, why isn't there a federal or global day to thank ladies for keeping the rate of infants down

"all my dreams lost at sea" has always been my favorite lyric of the song/perhaps of the whole catalog

There's something really poetic and old world about losing things at sea

this is actually one of the best captures of the vision and aesthetic of MCIS as an album I have ever read
