I decided to try out searching my brother's name on myspace. One entry came up, he's 27 and lives in the same place his mom lived for as long as I knew. It's really him...I wouldn't even have recognized the picture since I hadn't seen him in almost 10 years.

I'm really freaked out, I sent him a message and I hope I get a response...I'm going to be on the edge of my seat until I do.

OMG! FUCKING MYSPACE!

I was trying to find the picture I had from the last time I got to see him, he was 19 and he looked a lot different, more hair on the head - no facial hair. He really looked like a polack!

I was lucky enough that this woman (who is the mother of my other half sister lol) looked up my half sister & brother - they're mom took them away when I was 7. She works for the city records or something but she was able to find out everything about them but I think he was living with the mom at the time. I sent a letter and never got a response so either she found it and threw it out or it wasn't the right address - or he thought it was weird and threw it out. Who knows. I just hope it wasn't the latter and I hope he's just as excited to find me. I'd definitely be heart broken if he didn't care. But I know he cared when he was 19 when I saw him last, he was so excited to hang out...we found out we could both shake our eyes! haha

Man this is so weird.

nope. we share the same mother and father, and he was adopted to a german family before i was born. I don't even know his (new) name. It sucks. I only know where he was born, the date... in a year I might start looking.

Hm, yeah that's tough and I have no idea how things work in other countries - we were able to find him using his social security #.

yeah, once he reads it it'll say "read"....when it says that and they havent responded i always freak out, but if it says that and he doesnt id imagine he just needs a few to soak it in and figure out what to say.

Yeah I've been checking all day, it still says sent. I figure he probably will be caught a little off guard by it but let's hope he eventually responds! I'm curious to see what his myspace page looks like and what other pictures he has up...

My cousin tried to contact me through MySpace (after she called my cellphone and left me a voicemail to which I never returned and answer to). I never answered and changed my name and profile on MySpace. My prediction: expect a passive aggressive response I.E. nothing.

yeah to me it seems like it might be a little shocking to him at first but not unwanted. so you might have mentioned this already but how come you two stopped talking? just cause he left w/him mom?

Well his mom took him and my sister Shannon:

(btw that's around the time she took them away from us)

So they said they'd come find us when they were 18, Shannon never did but Josh did when he was 19, I was 14. Josh, my Dad and I all went to Six Flags and rode rollercoasters, had a great time, went out to dinner and all that. Took pictures, caught up. Then after that I think my Dad just said it was weird because it didn't seem like his kid, or something like that. I don't really know the truth I don't think. Something crazy could've happened, but I doubt it. My Dad's just weird...he's a lot better of a person these days though.

Anyhow, I basically didn't get any say in whether or not I wanted to see him again and that was that. But before their mom took them away I would spend every weekend with them at my Grandma's.
