Default how do you open those pesky new CD/DVD packages without breaking the case?

Like QOTSA's Songs for the Deaf and Primal Scream's EVIL HEAT?

I don't believe that would work with the titles I mentioned.

my copy of EVIL HEAT has a DVD behind the CD, but it's impossible to get to it.

Question

I can't imagine what are those boxes like, since here in europe I belive qotsa's album (wich I only have in 2lp) has a slim double case like zwan's (and our mcis). I'm curious, really.

essentially, the "real album" is the first thing you see when you open the case. If you pick the CD up, you notice another CD, label down, on the opposite side.

So is there like a clear plastic "page" in the CD book that hinges on the left side, with the album on top and DVD on bottom? That's the only thing I can think of that you could possibly be talking about. I don't see what mental block you're having that prevents you from seeing how to open it--likely the same one that keeps you from not buying Primal Scream CDs. If you for some reason can't pop the hinge on the bottom of the jewel case, then you're going to just have to peel the sticker off the old-fashioned was with your disgusting yellow fingernails. That's how you open them.

Now, if you're having trouble getting to the DVD because you don't know how to use a hinge, that's a whole other retardation. Zekix showed you a picture of a two-disc jewel case with the inside hinge on the right. You didn't seem to have any revelations about that, so I'm left to assume that the inner hinge is on the left. It turns, like a page in one of your gay porn magazines. Pretend that instead of a DVD, you're going to see a spread of a man taking it in the ass from a horse--that way, your brain is sure to use all of its simian intelligence to get at it. It's not a pinata--the DVD isn't sealed "airtight" inside the case. Just keep at it, and eventually you'll remember how your hands work and you'll get your second disc.

I hope I helped, Beamish. In case you were wondering, the DVD goes face-up inside the drive of your DVD player when you insert it. The "Play" button has a triangle on it. Let me know if you have any problems navigating the menu.

Interesting titbit -

Because of the rotation of the earth, down here in New Zealand (and Australia) CD players and DVD players spin anti-clockwise, in much the same way water spins down the drain the other way to you americans, and we have christmas in Summer. So, if I was to buy a North American pressed DVD or CD, I'd see it spinning the wrong way, and the movue or song would play backwards.

That's the real reason for zoning on DVD players, and those hinged on the right hand side CD cases.
