Where in WNY? I'm grew up in Jamestown.

For the rest of you, I'm 28. Went to school in SC, and now I do usability work in Austin, TX. Oh, I've been reading the board for a long time under various handles and I've never actually met a Netphorian.

Bull Shit. You aren't going to get very far with that attitude.

I've been around here for a while, I just tend to lurk more than post. By the time I get to most threads, what I want to say has already been said so I stay out of it. That is why I have so few posts and a desolate PM box.

I fear the Netphoria hammer of justice.

2Marlon2Brando rocks, though.

I'm just posting this since although with 2000+ posts still no one knows shit about be.

"story of my life"

done.

...Seriously, Male 21, straight , maybe nerd looking with thin black glasses, either with hair by my neck or completely skin, it's a cycle, I'm growing it by now (hair!). I live in Portugal, I only post when I'm at my parent home, since when I'm in the house in the city where I study (Lisbon) I don't have internet there because when I need it for work I use my university network, hence my normal lack of posts during the week. I study computer engineiring but I'm fed up with my university that is the most well know nerd hive in this country, so I might tranfer to anywere else in a medium future.
As you can see for my posts I have vh1 tastes in music , specially late 70's/early 80's post punk/industrial as joy division, bauhaus, death in june and the bunch whole you can expect, I might be the only person in this forum who listens also to doom as my dying bride and old anathema (yes, those bands with cheesy names but with great songs, if you can tolerate growls :erm), and I'll always defend Lateralus on any thread. I play bass too (not very well, but everything goes with practice...).
I have a black+Doc's dressing cliché as you might have seen in some threads, I've never been into a relationship maybe because I'm too exigent... and the few persons I looked after were it too . Meh, on other side, I'm always prone to help in techie threads, I love Lynch movies, I have a bootlist site on a sig I always forget to display, l have a big passion for japanese sports cars from big r3x gtr's to 88' crx's, russian airplanes (please make a thread when any american matches a su-37 ). I'm very addict to medieval constructions as Loches and 12th century gothic cathedrals since I make big journeys around Europe to see those sinister things, if you are sleeping by now, I like brunettes too. I better stop since this is really starting to sound stupid. Cya around.

my name is beth, i am from cape cod, massachusetts, but i go to NYU, i live in manhatten. i used to come here a lot around '99-00, but apparently posts got deleted since then. i used to talk in the netphoria chatroom with grizzly; didn't he get freaked out over someone showing his picture and ran away from netphoria forever? the only person from netphoria i would consider myself friends with is moonpie, (jen larsen) who used to post a lot here back in the day. i think i bought some CDs from Eve around one xmas when she was selling her collection like at least four years ago- i think the lull ep and empire records soundtrack maybe.

i hadn't been back for a long time, and i don't post much now but i read netphoria for whatever reason sometimes, mostly the music board.

Hmm,
I'm 25/male and from Columbus, OH. Graduated from Ohio State. and now have a boring ass job for an oil company as an auditor.

Music wise, I'm a huge pumpkins fan, but lately I haven't been listening like I used to. I'm into all kinds of music, but I tend to stick with good ole rock n roll. I play guitar and try to play bass but suck at it. Was in a band at one point, but we broke up before we ever played a gig.

I don't exactly sit in my room all day on the computer but yet I've never really had a steady girlfriend. Not that I don't hook up with the ladies on occasion, I've just never found one that is worth more than 3 months of my time. Actually, I have, but they always end up being friends. Matter of fact, I have quite a few hot friends that you guys would probably want to hook up with, but I'd have to kill you if you did.

I've been lurking around this place forever. Probably since 1998 or 1999 and I think I finally registered in 2000. I like reading some of the crazy shit you guys post on here, and I think the whole goatse thing is probably the best joke around. Hell, I used to pull that on my old roommate with the desktop wallpaper.

I've never actually met a netphorian. I did go to Cleveland for one of the Machina signings and was supposed to meet some people at Denny's. The bastards never showed because they decided to go be first in line. I was rather pissed since I went by my fucking self to that (damn roommate backed out). It all worked out in the end though since I met some cool people in line after all. Well, after that fiasco, I pretty much gave up on meeting any netphorians - you unreliable fucks!

Well, I think that pretty much sums it up. I'll post again in a couple months!

Like promised.

I'm a 19-year old college sophomore going to George Mason U. I have a lot of dorky mannerisms but I'm not smart enough to really fall in that category. The point that proves that is I want to be a screenwriter - I'm not smart enough to do anything else. If I really want to put my mind to something I'm sure I could but the sad truth is I just don't care about anything other than telling a really good story.

I love the Mars Volta, SP, Radiohead, Our Lady Peace, and some other bands you'll notice me play in the NP threads. Um... my favorite author is by far Neil Gaiman. I haven't seen enough movies to really claim a favorite (though I'm working on it). If I had to say, I'd probably go with Chasing Amy... just the perfect mix of comedy and drama.

I wear the same 2 pairs of pants over and over and I have about 7 shirts. I need new clothes but that won't be fixed for at least another week. I have an intense fear of flying that I can't get over despite generous offers by my family to go to Spain / Ireland. There's something about being 40k feet above the ground that scares the fucking shit out of me. The most important man to me died last June (my grandfather) and I still miss him every now and again.

Robbie just informed my color is too much like Mr. Rhinoceros'. I hate life.

My name is Joanne, 22 (23 in Sept), from Brisbane, Australia. So the chances of meeting any of you in person are slim to none .

However, if I go to Europe this year or next year, I'll try and catch up with wangcomputers and anyone else that lives in UK/Europe and is keen to show me around.

I have a BA degree and a postgrad. dip. in Writing, Editing and Publishing. Hopefully I'll end up working at a publishing house (I currently work at a Migration Agency).

It's impossible to condense your life story into a few paragraphs so I'll leave it there. And I will get to 1000 posts one day, oh yes...

i'm ryan. i've been here a long time. i don't talk much. every so often i read funny shit here and i tell myself that i will do my best to become a contributing member of netphoria but once i start writing responses to threads i begin to feel that my comments wouldn't be as funny as some other people's comments so i hit the back button. my post count was erased a while ago and i was upset for a couple days but then i got over it. my favorite hot key is 'ctrl + enter' for automatically completing URLs (it will save you seconds a day). i live in edmonton. i highly doubt that many people will read this and i'm ok with that.

Default my [re]introduction

It's me, Jenni. I've been here for a few years now! Actually, this friday will be 3 years that I've been a [lurking] Netphorian. In case nobody remembers who I am, which I assume is the case, I'm a girl that goes to school wtih Ammy, which is how I ended up here. Right now I'm in my 5th damn year of college, I'm a liberal studies major, I just switched to that from Web Design. I love Radiohead, a lot, and I'm really bored right now and maybe I'll start posting more often, I love reading everything and feel like I know everyone, which is weird considering nobody knows who the hell I am.

That's it for now,
jenni

Hi Eric. I always thought you were female. Maybe it was the pink stars. You should ask Pakula to eliminate the pink stars.

Yet another reason the Politics Board was a good, useful tool.

Plus it kept the amateurs out of the conversation all together.
