Wow! I really like it John!! However, I have no technical input or whatnot to give you, but I would be really interested to hear how the lyrics would sound with the song (if you decide to add any).

i dont hear a diminished 5th in there. even if it's there, it's not very apparent or...doom-like.

Not very apparent? What do you call that screeching 'ow my freakin' ears!' guitar death sound?

John, you need to post more mp3s - possibly of these songs you don't like. Or live ones!

I like the transition from the chorus to the verse, and I was gonna complain about the ride cymbal but the fact is changed the second time made me forgive it. I think those ascending bits in the middle could be more powerful, but overall it's good stuff. assuming every song doesn't sound like that. I think the vocals need their meter looking at - some of it sounds crammed in.

This all sounds pretty professional though - how are you recording this?

There's a school down the street called the Audio Recording Technical Institute that uses local bands as guinea pigs so they can teach students about recording or whatever. And the bands that play get a decent recording out of it.

Sweet deal - colleges are a good source of free production too

sounds like a mix of the pumpkins-silverchair-RHCP

the vocals sound identical to those from RHCP.

it seems like the vocals were forced and not entirely in place. (like DJ said)

i'm not particularly enjoying the title and how you repeat it over and over.

but the music is great again.

I also have a problem with the drummer who seems to be more concerned with extablishing (yes, I'm black) his own presence than backing up the rest of the band. Maybe less is more, or that the focus of the band collectively should be entirely on the lead guitar. Other than that, I think it's great because it's patient at first with a slow steady rise, and the soloing is awesome. MORE COWBELL!
