Thumbs up Ghost World

The graphic novel, not the movie. Damn it rocks. I seriously advise you all to pick it up and start reading. I saw the movie first, and then I read the novel for school and it kicks the movie's ass. Good stuff.

i've never seen a movie that tried to so hard to be cool before.
ghost world sucked the chrome off a trailer hitch worse than your mom.

i liked the movie a lot, plus i read the graphic novel at borders one day. it only took about a half an hour.
as for the movie trying too hard to be cool, i can see that. but, i liked the story nonetheless and found the humor pretty decent. not laugh out loud funny, but nice.

I don't really do "graphic novels" but I did like the movie.

Plus both those girls are super hot.

I guess a lot of you can't relate. Long before the movie came out I was a fan of Eightball. Daniel Clowes is Jesus. If you don't get it, it's you know, your deal man. I happen to like how he tells stories and how he sees the world.

I think they really, really screwed up the plot when writing the screenplay. The book was near-perfect, and the movie started out just as strong, but was gradually cheapened and really lost more and more points with me the closer it got to the ending.

I think a lot of the scenes were well done, but if you can watch the movie, whether or not you've read the book, and not see that there's something vital missing, I really don't know what to tell you.

my best friend and i joke around that i'm thora birch and that she's the girl who plays the best friend in the movie. Her and i will sometimes sit around in places looking at people and wondering little things about them.

The best part was the mullet guy who was doing karate moves in the convience store. He looked exactly like my Uncle Med and when the clerk from the store shouted something along the lines of "this isn't Club Med!" i had to leave the room to stop my sides from hurting from laughing too much.

The only thing that separates me from Thora Birch in this role is that i don't have an older friend names Seymour.

You know, if Thora were a bit skinnier, you'd want to do the same to her.
