organizing an intervention

has anyone here ever held an intervention for a friend of theirs? how did it go? was it successful? does anybody have any tips or advice?

Tell the person to his or her face they have a problem and let them know what you are willing to do to help. completely changing the addicted persons environment is usually the only real chance they have to getting over the addiction...as in they cant be around people that socially drink etc.
