Default Lakers close out the series...

....to noone's surprise.

Now that the Pacer's have blown it, it will be Lakers in five over Detroit -- yet another uninteresting conclusion to the NBA playoffs.

I hope the Wallaces put Malone and Payton in wheelchairs. I also hope Ben Wallace puts Shaq in his whiny ass place.

Everyone knew the Lakers/Spurs series was the defacto NBA Championship series. Nothing to see here, move along.

game 6 officiating was horrible, for both teams. the first half was almost unwatchable....it was like every time down on each end of the court resulted in free throws. and dammit, 6 games, ugh.

i wish i could blame this one on the lakers, but i can't. if the wolves had ever learned how to REBOUND, there could have been a different outcome last night..... in the 3rd quarter i think, the lakers were shooting unbelievably bad.... and shaq got benched for too many fouls. that's when the wolves had their opportunity

I hope the finals are on freaking network tv. I didn't get to watch a single pacers game.

haha, i love the ESPN poll...

How would you describe the Pacers-Pistons series?

Entertaining: 16.9%
Great defense: 30.7%
Terrible offense: 11.2%
Wake me up when it's over: 40.9%

I wish I could have watched that series. I felt so lost not knowing what was going on for more than a week.

That said, the Pistons have the best shot of anyone to beat the Lakers.

Thumbs up oh well

this will be even more fun, to watch the lakers struggle and lose in the finals

come on, who can honestly say they were playing up to their potential last night. they won by a whopping SIX points. if the wolves had got a mere 3 more rebounds than they had and tipped them in, it would have tied it. pathetic!

No, they didn't. The Wolves can't pin any of this loss on anyone but themselves. The officiating actually was in their favor most of the game, Shaq was out for nearly the entire third quarter, Kobe the second, etc. etc. The Wolves NEEDED to capitalize, and they just couldn't. Their shots weren't falling, they couldn't grab a rebound if it hit them right in their hands, and they apparently thought Kareem Rush *still* wasn't a threat after he had swished three three's. All in all a very frustrating game to watch as a Wolves supporter.

the outcome of the series was pretty much decided in games 3 & 4 though...it just wasn't closed up as quickly as it should have. which reminds me, 4th quarter of games 2 & 5....WTF LA?

I'd argue game 1. The Wolves needed those home victories.
