Thumbs up Youth In Revolt: The journals of Nick Twisp

Best book ever.

if you disagree, may a hungry swarm of bees mistake your genitelia for honey-covered bee treats.

yeah, that's why i'm looking for cheaponline book stores!

they have not only the second book, BUT 100 or more pages of "outtakes" from the first one!

I might also get another one of CD Payne's works.

What's it about? Sounds a bit angst-y.

EDIT: my first review kinda sucked monkey balls

in a nutshell:
nick falls for a girl while he's on vacation.
he writes her, blah blah, but gets jealous when he learns she's got a well-educated boyfriend.
they get a dog to secure as their love child, but even after that he tries to get them both, the girl he likes and the guy she likes, kicked out of the school their attending together and that's where all the plotting, mischief, and drama happens.

also, his weirdass family, friends, and neighbors make the story much better.

it's an excellent book and not really angsty in the least; at some points it's even a nail-biter.
(hopefully, i didn't give away to much.)

I read it!

Has anyone read The Diaries of Adrian Mole? It's so similar to Youth in Revolt, but it's British.
