know of any good web resources to get free sheet music?

i guess im gonna have to go to the local music shoppe
i was looking for traditional/folk fiddle songs

When I was taking Irish fiddling lessons a few years back, I bought this book called 'the fiddlers fakebook' off of amazon, it was like 12bucks and it's about 500 pages full of traditional/folk fiddling music. I highly recommend it.

No, there really aren't any. If you search long enough you might find a good song here and there, but usually you end up finding really shit stuff or nothing at all.


I should post pictures of my violin I love my violin. It's worth over $10,000

is it just irish fiddle songs? cos i wanted stuff like traditional american fiddle songs...like bluegrass, etc...

No, it's got traditional and bluegrass too, my class just mainly focused on the irish fiddling, and it had a handful of that as well. It's got everything, it's a good book.

im going to the bookstore when i get outta work and if it's there im gonna buy it

I got a friend that's heavily into the violin. I'll see what she knows about free sheet music. I was able to nab a lot of free piano scraps back in the day, i'll see what i can do for you. AND AIM IS STOOPID AND I CATN ADD YUOO! grr

if youre talking to me...aim has been abnormally strange these days...i dont know what happened. i think im going to uninstall it and put it back up

Hmm, alright, cause i tried to add you through the "get buddy info" thingy and you were always "not available" or something. But alright i'll try it again in another lil while and i'll post a thread when i find out about that violin stuff.
