Arrow WWE Survivor Series

jesus, someone please tell me why I even bothered to order this event, the card is complete shit. the only thing I am remotely interested in is seeing what the Elimination Chamber actually looks like, and HBK wrestling again should be cool. but what about the other matches? Lesnar vs The Big Slow, fuck that

I am getting this with friends because of the E. C. match and that.

The only reason why they would have this match is so lesnar could try to f5 the big show. Like the Giant/Hogan match.

essentially I'm paying 5-7 dollars to see HBK wrestle 1 more time and see The Big Slo get the F5.

c'mon people, i think you're forgetting a little something. ok, stange_one doesn't get smackdown, so he has an excuse, but i know orchestra should know better. how can you not be looking forward to the the triple threat tag match? it might feature 6 guys who have been fueding exclusively with each other since god-knows-when, but it doesn't change the fact that said guys are 6 of the best (if not THE 6 best) guys in the company. ok, maybe edge isn't one of the best in the company, but he's still a great talent who can put on fantastic matches. it sounds awful "j.r." of me to say so, but i could watch these 6 guys every day of the week.who could complain about a match with angle, benoit, mysterio, TWO guererros and edge? this is fucking money in the bank: if it's half as good as the matches these guys do weekly on smackdown it'll be great, but you just know it'll be even better.

speaking of great talent, noble and kidman have a match. and despite a really shitty build, it should impress. however, given the one-for-one booking wwe seems to adhere so strictly to, noble looks to retain. normally i wouldn't mind that, but he's had the belt for 5 months and i can't remember the last time he defended it. hopefully this will lead to an increased cruiserweight division presence on smackdown (it can't help that two of the best cruiserweights are in prominient tag-teams).

the raw tag match and the 3-on-3 tables matches are not looking to be very promising, but at least that opens up the possibility of them being pleasant surprises... right? yeah, ok. they're throwaways. it shows how weak raw is when you have a totally buildless tag match an a pay-per-view, with one of the teams forming less than a week prior to the event. the tables match is slightly less meaningless, but i still don't have to like it.

the womens match might be semi-interesting. then again, it could suck.

i'm amazed by the fact the big show has a title match at a fucking pay-per-view. in order for me not to spit in rage, several things need to happen: 1) big show must work a decent match, much better than his status-quo, if i see any 5 minute bear hugs or any other "methodical offense," i'll not be pleased; 2) brock needs to get a clean and decisive win, there should be some back-and-forth, in fact, big show should spend a considerable part of the match dominating him, but he needs to finish it strong; 3) brock had better f5 the big fucking waste of skin, or at least give us the long-awaited shooting-star-press. also, a severence of relations between brock and heyman seems in order, if brock's gonne be a face he can't have paul e. hanging around.

the elimination chamber could go either way in the terms of quality, imo. i don't see greatness brewing, and it COULD flop, but there's an entertaining match to be put on if done correctly. despite all the hype, the match rules sound pretty straight forward. which is good, as the last thing this match needs is over stipulation. i still don't know exactly what war "games" is, but apparently it was pretty cool back in the day, and it's nice to see vince at least hint at all the wcw pay-per-view and match names he now owns. i really want to see hbk mix it up with the guys who perfected the kind of wrestling he made famous: jericho and rvd, that could be cool beyond belief. if they waste this rare shawn michaels performance entirely on triple h, i will puke. it's too cool to think of him wrestling booker, jericho and rvd for it not to happen considerably. the result will ultimately determine if i'm going to enjoy this match: i'm hoping for booker t. to walk out the champ, but as long as trips doesn't retain i'll be somewhat happy.

one last thing. bpp needs to make his presence felt soon. at the very least he should cut a promo at the pay-per-view. i've questined the wisdom of bringing him in at this point, but if the writing crew does some work beyond throwing him into the raw mix and waiting for the situation to get better (which, sadly, is entirely possible), then it could be fun to watch.

yeah funnygeezus you're right, I just am not hyped about this PPV because I don't get Smackdown, the matches you talked about will probably be decent. it is soooo hard to get hyped for an event like this when all you see is the shite show that is Raw every week. did you see the episode last monday? god it was awful
personally I think they should have mixed up both rosters for the EC match, so that there was 3 Raw guys and 3 Smackdown guys, but then again they couldn't have made it for the world title then.

Brock has a legit rib injury, so I'm not so sure we're going to see an F5.

I haven't decided yet if I am going to get this one. The EC is intriguing, but really that is about it. The triple threat tag will be good, no doubt, but I just haven't bought into the storylines surrounding it. That may be because I haven't watched SmackDown regularly lately, so I don't wholy blame the WWE, but that's where I stand right now.

omg, I hate to say it man if you didn't see it but that was a great PPV, alongside summerslam it is the best of this year.

opening match with the 6-man tables contest was fast-paced and fun as always, and at the end we get d-von back reuniting with bubba.

jamie noble vs kidman had some awesome reversals, and I don't get to see these guys go at it too much so I really enjoyed it. kidman new champ

trish vs victoria was far better than I expected, both women went all out, victoria even bled a bit. victoria new champ also

brock vs big show was amazingly quick, and I guess it had to be since lesnar's rib is fucked. but he still managed to pull of the F5 perfectly! jesus it looked awesome, he didn't even look like he had trouble with it. but then heyman turned on brock, and wtf! brock lesnar loses for the first time ever! chokeslam on a chair! new wwe champ, big show with heyman as his new friend. good lord I really didn't expect brock to lose

6-man tag match from smackdown next, which was unreal, it went on for a little too long though, and it did lose a bit of bite after benoit/angle were eliminated. the guerreros new tag team champs. jesus every belt so far had changed hands

next up harvard wanker chris nowinski comes out and craps on for a bit, then mattitude hardy comes out and does the same, and the two both agree on some things instead of hitting each other, then bam! the sirens hit! big poppa pump stalks down the entrance and proceeds to kick both their asses. he looks good, not as big as he used to be but fuck it was good to see him

elimination chamber next, this took ages to start, and the rules were explained fully and slowly. it didn't really start to kick in as a great match I think until it was down to just jericho, hhh and hbk. then all three were bleeding profusely and just going to town on each other. it looked for a moment as if hhh might tap out to the lion tamer, but shaun saved him and pinned jericho after a superkick. then hbk and hhh just beat the living snot out of each other for close to 10 mins or so, hbk was looking fucked and he got thrown through some plexi-glass, but he fought back, knocked hhh down and went for the super-kick. but hhh caught his foot and spun him around for the pedigree. I thought that would be the end of it, but hhh was too fucked to pin him, so he didn't capitalise for about 30 secs, and when he finally did pin shaun kicked out. finally both guys get up to their feet once more and give it all they've got, but hhh had the upper hand and went for the pedigree again, shaun pulled out of it though and delivered a wicked super kick. goes for the pin straight away, new champion! shit!

I'm so glad I ordered this now, funnygeezus if you can get the encore or something of it I highly recommend it
here's hoping scotty steiner is on raw tomorrow!

Meh. I agree, it was much better than the usual ppv's this year, but the elimination chamber was way too predictable, and really slow at the end. It started out great with RVD, that spiderman shit he pulled was great... but I knew it was going to be predictable when HHH was one of the first ones in. Of course, HBK was last, and of course, it was the two of them in the end.. absolutely no suprise to me.

I kept thinking, in the wise words of Zorak, "This is Lame Ass."

But I thought overall it was good.

I guess it was a little predictable, but you have to admit, noone was really expecting shaun to actually win. once booker t was gone I thought there was no way the WWE would give the title to anyone else, and hhh would win once again and noone gives a damn. but it was a great finish, I can't wait to see what will happen at Armageddon, I guess we will see hbk vs hhh again though

I thoroughly enjoyed this PPV. the chamber match was awesome. Kane, HBK, and RVD really outshined everyone else, IMO. I thought the Big show/Lesnar match was good too, although too short. everything else was good, except i thought the 6 man tag was butt. It was a great PPV.

Talking

first ppv that left me smiling after awhile.

best wrestling match was the 3 man tag

biggest pop waz when steiner manhandled mattitude 1.0 and chris harvard, than steiner proceeded to do push ups cuz they didnt give him a good enough work out =)

im real surprised that the wwf is going to push steiner as a face, cuz they lack heels on raw, but i think the wwf is lookin for ratings so i definetly will start watching again if steiner feuds with hhh.

ya i knew the elimination chamber waznt going to be as good as the original hell in the cell with mankind and undertanker.... but it provided some high drama spots here and there...

freakin hhh deserved to get injured from rvds frog spash cuz the idiot didnt even move to the center of the ring so rvd could fly across the ring and execute the move perfectly... instead rvd falls like a rock from the chamber and executes a crappy 5 star onto hhh's throat.

same with hbks high spot with the elbow drop, he fell like a rock to and it didnt look that great. actually hbk himself didnt look all great, the guy looks like a barbie doll with that new haircut and what the hell were those grey tights???

but the crowd waz hot for hbk and the match ended perfectly with some sweet chin music.

as for the future im thinking hbk and jericho will feud, they might try to work kane in this angle. booker and rvd will get burried and put back to mid card status for injuring hhh. hhh will get his assed beat down by the gentic freak big poppa pump, holla if ya here me?

for smackdown, brocks out for a month cuz of the rib injury. that leaves big job er show to fight taker at armagedon... taker wins. show getz f5 out of ring at royal rumble by brock

angle vs benoit feud will end with benoit beating angle, so angle can get surgery on his knee and than hopefully prepare for the olympics during 2003.

hogan comes back and runs wild by promoting his book to all the hulkamaniacs, i also hope he feuds with vince.

thats all good ppv by wwf, im impressed.

I'd see it, but only because I go to a sports bar and watch it for $3.

You know, they really need to get rid of that Randy Orton kid and Mr. Harvard. They both make me want to stop watching when they start their bullshit.

I wonder how many e-mails getwellrandy@wwe.com gets saying "SHUT THE FUCK UP, NOBODY GIVES A RATS ASS"

Hehe
