There's a reason no one was nominated in the acting category for that movie. I guess what bums me out is this: The Academy Awards are consistently swayed by which movies were popular according to the American public rather than having some relatively objective list of things to look for when judging the movie. Look what happened in the past. SHakespeare in Love was up against Saving Private Ryan, Life is Beautiful, and the Thin Red Line. The first movie was a cute romantic comedy while the rest dealt with issues that are impossible to deal with without the aid of art in a wonderful manner.
The Titanic won. Gladiator won. Do I need to say more? |

I still thought it was an excellent movie. I thought that the 3rd was the most entertaining actually. Oh well.....everyone never agrees on one thing.
