Sacred bull of Memphis in Egypt, connected witht he gods Ptah and Osiris, who later became the Graeco-Egyptian deity Serapis, a god of the underworld.
Serapis appears on Roman Imperial coins and the famous library of Alexandria was attached to his temple there.
