i can't imagine what would happen if i had to wash the dishes by hand. they would never get done. i would buy all plastic cups/plates/silverware. it's not that i'm lazy. dirty dishes are just the most disgusting thing ever.

well the dishwasher still works. it's just falling out of the wall. like if i open it and pull both drawers out while they're full - it leans forward out of it's space.

the first time it happened i was REALLY freaked out and i thought that it was going to fall out and break my toes. but i guess it's not disturbing the washing of the dishes so far. it's just really irritating.

i have a nice little dishwasher and a washing machine with built in dryer. those things are really god-given household appliances. but you just don't get those strange garbage disposers here in europe..i don't know..we just use the wastepaper-basket.

actually, i was thinking about this item too, but it could be, that i misunderstood the proper use of it...i always thought, that you throw almost everything biological into it...i just don't throw anything into the sink, everything goes to the basket (or sometimes down the toilet)

Our garbage disposal broke about 6 to 9 months ago. So my mother went and bought a new one right afterwards... yet she hasn't had it installed yet. So, we've got an icky, gross, nasty smelling sink with a garbage disposal that is inoperative, and the new garbage disposal sitting on the floor in the other room gathering dust. Blah.

I grew up washing dishes by hand too, and I use the dishwasher now, but it bothers me. I feel like it's laughing at how incompetent we are (can't even wash the fucking dishes, well fine, let me do them FOR you, your soul is mine!). And our dishwasher is also kind of crappy and the dishes always come out with this very thin chalky film on them, and that bothers me. And then it's like, ohhhh, well look who's being all picky now, miss slave driver! Is this not clean enough for you, bitch?
