Agreed. Just about everyone who I know was like that when they were 14 and now they all think that they were dipshits at that age.

i hate that this turned into an argument on semantics.
live and let live, i suppose. i'm not about to go telling anyone what to do. frankly, when i was fourteen, i wanted to have sex as much as the next guy. but i realize now that at that time i wasn't ready, and i am probably still not ready, approaching 17.
honestly, i don't know what to say about the situation. i don't know any more than the rest of netphoria about this whole thing and am not in any position to give advice and expect it to be followed or even considered. however, the way it seems to me is that stef was being a little quick about the decision. anyway, it seems now that they're not gonna have sex yet. so yeah i have nothing else to contribute.

Online relationships are not real. No matter how much you feel you "love" this person, you can't possibly even know them.

Any 18 year old male that is persuing a 14 year old girl is fucking sick. Get a life, shithead. Can't you get girls your own age? You have to fuck with the young dumb ones. A prime example of Miss World. Who's judgement has been pretty much shit ever since she was 12.

One word of advice, Miss World. Everything you have to think about doing, do the opposite.

14 pages, oh wow.

Well I'm going to state my peace then (and I'm sure it's been said at least once in 14 pages)...

4 years isn't a big gap. Most of our parents probably have a bigger gap than that. However, 14 and 18 is a big deal simply for the maturity factor. Miss world can be as mature as she wants to, but she still hasn't experienced certain things in her life that will change her and mold her into a young adult. She is still a child.

Most people have reached a new level when they turn 18/19/20...there's new responsibilities, different life/setting changes, etc.

As for "it's not our business"...people allow us to know the things we know about them. If there's something I don't want the board to know...guess what? I don't post about it! It's really not rocket science, and I think we all learned this from HIGH SCHOOL.

awwwww you remembered

and no one could tell us what to do. we had to date for almost 5 years to figure out it was a bad idea.

my warning is for newfreshness: if you really are in love with her now, she will be a completely different person when she is 18, and you will still be the same. 5 years. i tried for 5 years. now she's in college at the mountains, growing, changing even more, making friends, being happy, being herself. and im still here, where i always was, where i'll always be. I'm not trying to be romantic- i dont want her back. but i do miss that sweet innocent little girl that i used to call mine. You will go through this, and it will be hell.

If you don't mind my asking, what were your ages when you began the relationship?

Good point...

And the same thing will happen to miss world...

I really liked this one guy friend I had when I was 16, he was 20. We lost touch for about 2 years and just a few months ago we started talking. I was excited to see him. When we went out that night, I realized he was still the same person, and I'd changed so much. I've got my life started, responsibilites, etc...and he's still the same kid, only he's 4 years older now. Still living at home, still struggling with jobs, still going to raves.

i met her when i was 17, she was 12. we started dating immediately after she turned 13.

it was wrong. i see that now but i could've never seen it then. so spare me the mockery, please. older netphorians will tell you we both spent countless hours on here defending our relationship and i dont want to revisit that.

No I was just curious. Besides, it's over and you learned how wrong it was, so it would be pointless.
