is that when a young child gets circumsized?

Or is it like a funeral?

Isn't this called a Bris?

Bris - The rite or ceremony of male circumcision, usually performed on the eighth day of life.

A wake is like a sad party after a funeral. There is food and such and you recount the good ole days all while giving condolences to relatives.

Oh. yeah. Thanks! I always get those mixed up because they are short names.

Wake's aren't always sad. I've been to many wakes that were social events - open bars, lots of talking, music being played. It's just done with a casket instead of a disco ball.

Hmmm,..I thought a wake was before the funeral. I've never been to a funeral but I've been to one wake. At least that's what I thought it was and there was no food anywhere. Not that I would eat anyway.

I think anyone can interpret it differently. But, most of the ones I have been to served as the funeral. There was an eulogy, etc.

Let the record show I'd also like to DJ at a mass. I'd play Rocking the Casbah and other memorable numbers from the Clash catalogue.
