I just want this whole gay marriage thing out of the news, conversation, etc. They wanna fucking suffer by getting married? Fine, go ahead. Just let them do it and shut up about it.

It's such a big deal because of the privileges that come with a legal marriage. Insurance, taxes, etc.

Denying those rights & privileges to someone because of their sexual orientation is discrimination. Plain and simple.

If I fell in love with a woman and decided we should marry and start a family, we should not have to check "single" on our tax forms.

There's obviously more to it than that, but I'm just stating my beef.
