the worst witch vs. harry potter?

i haven't read the worst witch nor have i seen the movie adaption. but i have read all of the harry potter books. i think i smell a rat.

anyone seen and/or read both?

they're both stories about witches that have trouble fitting in. and ANY two books that are generally the same idea, usually end up being /generally/ the same storyline.

i've seen both. yes, there were defenitly some things that were the same... but hardly enough to make me think that harry potter was a rip off. i'm a big fan of the worst witch, and have watched it every halloween of my life, so i should know

I enjoy both of them.

they aren't really the same. not in a ripoff sense. they just don't have the same tone at all. and: you should see the movie.

they're the same in the way that The Parent Trap is like every subsequent movie-revolving-around-twins. that's all, really.
