I have elixirs on mine, they're pricey but they really do stay brighter longer. Apparently the coating protects the 'critical Zone of Tone'

Between cooking and playing guitar, I can pretty much do anything in the kitchen that you see the professionals chefs do. Last night I sliced some chicken breasts right off the grill. I was so proud of myself.
