deciding to go to Georgia (over Duke, Vanderbilt and other BS expensive schools) was the best decision i ever made; instead of being out $100k in loans, i'll be out about $40k or so

this summer, i'm working for 2 different firms in Atlanta...first one pays $1,700/week and the second pays $1,750/week

if i do an alright job, i'll get hired after graduation making $100,000 starting out and much more 5 years or 7 years after that; that is, if i don't kill myself before then

Stay where I'm at and start around $60K per year with not that much of a raise over the first five years, BUT, the chance to make buckoo $$$ 10-15 years down the road (senior VP's make $300K a year; the top 5 in charge all make close to or more than $1 million per year). Or if go to a local firm, I'd start around $75 and by year 7 would be making close to or more than $200K per year.

dude, well fucking done man. my buddy keeps bragging about his job and i completely understand. his Vp picked us up in a brand new ferrari and drove us out to a pub to get some pints last month. i saw him again last week, but this time he was riding a bike (not an affectation bike, a proper bicycle). he said his wife got mad cause he bought a 200 thousand $$ U.S car, so he got his money back and bought a bike. thats insane, the guy makes 120$ pounds a year now... thats rougly 250 K u.s.

first of all, ace is a huge badass for going to GA Tech undergrad...that shit is tough; all 7 kids in my class for GA Tech are on a law journal

not at all, but nice try. ive had to pay rent for 3 of those 4 years, and since i wasn't talking to my father, i wasn't getting a thing from him... (except for the 100 canadian a month for food for the last year my mom would sneak in my bank account cause she felt bad).

um thanks! emory ain't exactly easy (but you were a liberal arts major )

i was in debt zero for undergrad. i was on scholarship the first two years for the most part; my parents paid the leftover and then the whole thing during years three and four.

yes, marquette is $$$. i could have got in-state at UGA (me and mpp could have kicked it), Texas or Houston, but I didn't get into any of those because my undergrad grades were shite and my LSAT was average.

my parents pay my housing, car insurance, cell phone and shit like that but i will owe $67,500 in loans plus interest when i graduate. but it's well worth it because i will make more and have a cooler job than i otherwise would have had without the degree.

and apparently following the GT tradition, i'm on law journal too but i'm not an editor; just a senior member.
