I use Guild extra light gauge. I find these the best for my guitar.
What kind do you use?
i have those blue steel dealies. they sound nice but i haven't really had my acoustic for too long so i haven't had to restring much and try out other kinds. so i'm not sure if these are the best for my guitar.

d'addario ej17 phosphor bronze/medium.

first replacement strings i bought, and i've never tried anything else. i've restringed maybe six times, max. i've never restrung my electric. should i?

i'm poor so i usually just wait for a string to break to restring since i don't play shows or anything. this is only the second time i've restrung my acoustic since i got it two years ago. my strings were nasty though.

I don' like the sound of new strings - it sounds too much as 'iron'. about one and half month later after putting up the new strings - that's about the time for me.

i haven't changed my strings for a year but they're so tender that they play and sound brilliantly. it's a miracle i say.

HOW'S THAT G-STRING WORKIN OUT FOR YA LOLOLOL

Last time I restrung my guitar, I put 13s on it. My fingers took ages to adapt to them but now I'm a mean lean massive string playing machine

I usually use Earnie Ball strings, but i've used a whole lot of kinds.
I always break my Low E string the most.
Eh what? We're not talking bass strings here.

And when I pop a string it's usually my A, but I never do anymore because I'm damn good!

Doesn't that screw up your tension? When I started using 10s my bridge was permanently pulled up from the body. Then I put 3 springs in it and now it takes hardcore physical effort to wobble the trem

If you don't break strings, you aren't playing enough!
Ohhhhhh, I thought you were one of those crazy hippies who only replace one string at a time, and you were going for a 'lived-in tone'.

I think it's my incredible stringing technique which stops breakages, but I play enough to scrape the skin off one of knuckles Unless you mean I'm not putting the time in, in which case yes I'm a lazy bum

does anyone else find changing strings to be extremely calming and theraputic? there's something unexplainably soothing about it to me. i have no logical explanation for it.

Not acoustic strings, since it requires me to have 3 hands
