Is it dumb to buy two tickets to a concert

if you don't have anyone lined up to go with you? Because I just did that. I figured I can probably get someone to go pretty easily and just pay me back, and if not, I can probably sell it outside pretty easily too. Its for the yeah yeah yeahs march 17 at the fillmore in san francisco.

I do that all the time, I've never had a problem finding someone to go with or selling it. I only have a couple of friends who will usually go to shows too.

Edit- Yeah Yeah Yeah's put on a great show, you shouldn't have any trouble.

It wouldn't be dumb if I had the day off, then I could go with you.

But there is no way I can get that night off, I already tried.

But it's something I do quite a lot. I usually find someone to go with me, but have just given my ticket away to a stranger a couple times.

Two tickets is usually okay -- the only time I've been screwed is when I've bought more than two. I bought three $80 tickets to the White Stripes/Flaming Lips NYE show, and my third person backed out two days before the show.

I bought two tickets to the SP detroit arising show even though I had no one to go with. Amazingly, I had no one to go with until 5 days before the show.

not to me, I do it to.

I'm the music whore in my circle of friends so I usually end up ordering the tickets for all of us (some confirm they want to go right away & others are wishy washy until the event).

This usually works out well. Only twice (Summersault & Interpol) did I order too many tickets. Each time I offered the extra tickets to the good peeps of Netphoria so it worked out anyways.
