If you have a DVD read drive, and a seperate DVD write drive, is it easy to copy em?
The wife wants one and they said to him that he couldn't copy from one directly to the other, he'd have to rip it, but is there an easy program you can use to rip dvds and then burn em? |

i don't have a dvd-r drive myself, but judging from the wide availability of DVD isos, i'd say it's not hard to rip the image.

http://www.dvdrhelp.com
is helpful. DVD Shrink is a free program that seems to be popular for ripping dvd images. |

speaking of video shit, i was trying to re-encode my Elephant divx rip to mpg to burn to vcd, but the audio is vbr and it doesn't sync up when you rip it in virtualdub. ugh. also, i can't find a copy of tooLame for download, as much as everyone points to it it's impossible to find an executable file of it. i need it so my mpg's i make in tmpgenc don't sound like total shit.

DVD Shrink all the way. Have a nice tutorial.

Can't you demux the VBR stream in virtualdub, convert it to a wav, re-encode to CBR mp3 and remux it? You might even be able to save the VBR stream as a wav directly (although then you're relying on Virtualdub to decode it perfectly) |
