Jim Cameron produced, Steven Sodenberg directed, George Clooney starring. A cerebral sci-fi movie. I am so there.

right now they're dicking around with the MPAA due to a Clooney ass shot that's giving the flick an R, meanwhile a female ass-shot for the same amount of time would give it an Pg-13 (which is what they want). Forget where I read that, maybe moviepoopshoot.

oh. well. it's a lot of movie. heh. it's like a visual depiction of a novel so everything is very... well it's like using visuals in place of narration... if you watch it it makes sense.

The last time I tried to watch that movie, which was about several years ago, I couldnt' make it passed the second act- I can't really recall any specific details from the movie, though I do remember that I slept comfortably. Since then I have been able to Stalker, Andrei Rublev (which I own) and Nostahlgia but I have yet to make another attempt at solaris. They're screening a new print of the movie at the local art house theatre pretty soon so i'll probably give it a go there- I just hope it's not one of those inhumane midnight screenings.

I totally agree with this sentiment, but I still have no desire to see George Clooney's ass, and have a hard time understanding why anyone would. Does this make me weird?
